Review highlights
Based on 310 reviewsOh My Bingsu Dessert Cafe in Georgetown, Penang, is praised for its refreshing and generous portions of bingsu, making it a popular choice for cooling off on hot days. Customers appreciate the variety of flavors, with mango and matcha options often highlighted for their quality and taste. The cafe is noted for its visually appealing presentation and reasonable pricing, despite bingsu generally being considered a pricier dessert. Some feedback points to the strong flavors in certain varieties and the noisy environment due to its popularity. Additionally, while the cafe is recognized for its cozy and Instagram-worthy ambiance, limited parking and mixed opinions on bingsu’s uniqueness are occasionally mentioned.
Perfect treat for a hot day in Penang! A lovely variety of delicious, creamy, light, and refreshing bingsu desserts – ideal for cooling off. Beautifully presented and made with high-quality ingredients. Portions are generous, great for sharing between 2 or 3 people, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
We have ordered Tie Guan Yin Bingsu & Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsu. The taste and texture can be accepted, but the portion is bigger, possible to serve for 4 pax.
We ate Bingsu here twice when we traveled to Penang only 3 days. The mango bingsu was really tasty, we love this flavour. The da hong pao bingsu was ok but it had strong flavour with us, we couldn’t finish all. It is noisy here but it is acceptable because their desserts are good and many people want to enjoy
This is one of the best bingsu cafe in Penang. The food served has a certain standard of quality for dessert. Everything in the menu is a star but I would like to recommend you their matcha toast! As usual, bingsu will be of the most expensive dessert around. Give it a try and you won't regret it.
Super cozy cute and instagram worthy place. I do think bingsu is just glorified ais kacang. But we had some tom yam mee goreng looking flavour and it was actually not bad. I guess if you like bingsu you can come try it but man its hard to find parking here.
This Bingsu cafe is my favourite spot for a quick icy treat on a blazing hot day or an after meal dessert fix for 2-3 people. Prices range from RM25+ and is reasonably priced for the portion, quality and service they provide. The Mango cheesecake bingsu is my personal favourite, rating it 9.5/10. Also, I really appreciate that one of the guy staff asked if we would like some ice with our water since it was a really hot day. They provide water in-house with no charge, self-service. *Note that the ambience can be quite noisy as it’s always packed with customers. Overall, highly recommended!
we ordered the mango cheesecake bingsu and oreo croffle. the bingsu was good, sweet and creamy but for the price, it felt a bit overpriced. the amount of mango given was quite little, which made it feel not really reasonable for what you’re paying. as for the oreo croffle, the texture reminded me a bit of paratha. not exactly what I expected. on the bright side, the service was great. The cashier and waiter were super nice and friendly. they also have a reserved parking lot for customers, so parking is not an issue at all.
This bingsu café serves really good, premium bingsu—smooth, flavorful, and totally satisfying. They’ve got other desserts too, which is a nice bonus if you’re in the mood for something different. The place itself could use a bit of a glow-up though, and the seats aren’t exactly the comfiest. But for the quality of the bingsu, I’d still go back.
